Evidence considered
- No evidence was considered as the tribunal struck out the application for lack of jurisdiction (application made out of time).
Tenant submitted evidence: no. Landlord submitted evidence: no.
Tribunal's reasoning
The tribunal did not determine a market rent. The tenant's application was made on 3 June 2025, more than two months after the new rent proposed in the landlord's section 13 notice (£600 pcm from 1 April 2025) was due to take effect. As an application must be received before the new rent takes effect, the tribunal found it had no jurisdiction and struck out the application without considering the merits or any rent evidence.
